I have been with State Farm for most of my life and when my son got his driver’s license (3 months ago)we got a quote from State Farm and also thought it was a bit high. We got a few quotes from other companies and discovered that Geico seemed to be the best so we switched all of our car insurance over to them.

Add my comments to the previous post and it almost seems like a plug for Geico, but they saved us about a hundred bucks on a six month premium so that’s who we went with.

We have 3 kids and have always been insured with Geico since my wife and I got married. Our oldest son who is now 22 was first insured with them at the age of 16. We thought their rates were a bit high so we got some quotes at that time and found that they were actually lower than any of the 3 other quotes we got from companies that friends referred us to.

I was wondering if you or anyone reading this can help me find the best insurance company with the best rates for teenage boys. My 17 year old son is going to be starting to drive soon and is about a 3.2 GPA (I heard that insurance companies take a kid’s GPA into account when deciding on rates).

We live in Washington state and we currently are insured with Allstate.
