I remember when I got my first auto insurance policy back in 1970. At that time, I was 16 years old and drove a 1960 Chevy that I bought from my uncle.
I was excited to have my first car of course and thrilled when I discovered the freedom of coming and going without “adult supervision” for the first time in my life! But I soon began to realize that with freedom comes responsibility.
I didn’t just have a new (used) car to buzz around town in and drive myself to school in, I also had a new found liability and a source of major expense (at least for a 16 year old high school kid with only a part time job).
I did not have a car payment because my dad had bought the car for me after working for him all summer in his drywall business. But I did have to buy my own gas and I had to pay for my own insurance.

Well in 1970 there were not nearly as many choices for car insurance as there are today. Getting a insurance quotes was a hassle, (and getting cheap insurance quotes online was not an option of course), so it was easy to just stay with the company my folks used which was State Farm. I ended up staying with them for over 25 years!
But today it’s a different story. The internet has made it possible to get multiple quotes in a matter of minutes in many cases! It is a much more competitive world we live in than it was when I was a kid.
So this website is dedicated to helping you have what I did not have as a teenager. Quick access to multiple companies for online insurance quotes for your auto (and soon we will provide resources for home, health and life insurance quotes as well).
We will be adding helpful information on a daily basis. I invite you also to check out our Q&A page. If you have a question, post it there. If you have an answer to a question that someone else has posted, by all means, let us hear what you have to say. We appreciate your involvement with our blog!
